Forget about spending that much time in the gym. Instead, choose better exercises that are more efficient. This will allow you to get your workout done faster, eliminating the “no time” workout excuse. To do so, you need to eliminate irrelevant exercises. I know you want to do an exercise for shoulders, and one for arms, and one for abs, and one for this and that. But before you do, ask yourself, will these really get me to my goal, or have I just been convinced by bodybuilding magazines that I need 40 sets per workout to get results? Now, taking those lessons, we can then create some pretty incredible bodyweight workouts as well. And these bodyweight workouts can get finished fast! In fact, here is a 7-minute bodyweight circuit that can help you lose weight, burn calories, and blast your metabolism. You don’t need machines or weights. You can do this anywhere! Bodyweight squat (10-20 reps) Do this with no rest between exercises. Rest 1 minute at the end of the 7-minute circuit and repeat up to 3 times. If you are a beginner, do fewer reps and take longer rests. It’s a tough, tough bodyweight circuit, especially the combination of two exercises late in the circuit. This combo literally exhausted me to my knees…twice…before I was able to finish the circuit. You can do the circuit up to 3 times. Another weapon in your fat loss arsenal. Now you’ll know how to train efficiently and eat effectively for fat loss. Don’t wait any longer to get started! Get all of these bodyweight exercises, and more, in the Turbulence Training workouts that you can do in the comfort of your own home. No more annoying drives to the gym, waiting in line for machines in an uncomfortable environment, or being intimidated by the super-buff gym bunnies. Lose fat, get fit, and workout your way – at home with only a bench, a ball, and dumbbells. However it can have even more advantages as we get older. If you were to ask the average person on the street what they thought eating raw foods meant you would be surprised at the answers you get. Many would say that raw food had to do with eating raw meat, and this couldn’t be further from the truth. Eating raw foods is about vitality, health, choice, and enjoying your life, quite simply it is not a diet it is a lifestyle. Eating raw foods is about taking control of your health and giving yourself every opportunity to remain healthy for as long as possible. There are so many delicious things to eat that don’t need to be cooked or boiled or burned. Nature supplied us with the perfect nutrition for our bodies, no assembly required! Some of you might be asking yourself how a raw food diet differs from a vegetarian one. While it is true that both are plant-based diets only the raw food diet requires that the things you eat not be cooked. There is a very specific reason for this and it has to do with how plant-based foods are structured. Fruits, veggies, and all other plants are efficient storage batteries filled with energy and nutrition. When you apply heat to plant-based foods they tend to rupture and breakdown releasing all of their nutrients and enzymes. By the time you get to eat them, the food has lost a major portion of their nutritional value rendering them inadequate. This is why so many of us have to pop vitamin supplements (which incidentally are mostly insoluble and are discarded, this is why urine changes color after ingesting them) to make up for these deficiencies. Eating raw foods helps to maintain the optimum levels of nutrients found naturally in all plant-based foods. The nutrition found in raw foods is completely usable and efficiently dispersed throughout the body. It’s easy to start eating raw foods. If you wish to learn more I recommend the following two sites. It is important at any age but as we get older it is vitally important to maintain strength in the legs. If you have been a regular visitor to my site you will be aware that I am in favour of bodyweight exercises, and I particularly like regular bodyweight squats and Hindu squats. Now I know that for some these may be difficult especially if you have not exercised for some time. So what can you do. Well begin by doing seated squats. Grab a chair, sit, stand, sit, stand, do as many as you feel comfortable with then rest a while and repeat, just take care not to overdo it, rest when you need to. If you still find it difficult use a chair with arms and use the arms for assistance. Try and do some of these daily and you will soon feel your legs getting stronger. Here’s to a long healthy life. The fact of the matter is, there is not one workout that can accomplish all the improvements you need to reach your overall goal. For example, you might choose a workout that focuses on fat loss. But the fact of the matter is, you need to improve fitness and build lean muscle to reach your true physique goals. So, a one size fits all workout just won’t do. To illustrate what I mean, let’s look at three different types of bodyweight workouts. Workouts Without Weights For General Fitness Bodyweight calisthenics are an excellent choice for improving fitness. After all, there are many physical abilities that need to be improved for a high level of fitness like strength, power, endurance, speed, flexibility, agility, balance, coordination, accuracy and mental toughness. And bodyweight workouts are great for improving all these physical qualities. And keep this in mind. Even though your goal might be more for appearance, improving your appearance is a RESULT of a higher level of fitness. So, you should have do a general fitness workout. But… Workouts Without Weights For Fat Loss You can’t expect your general fitness workout to burn off all the fat you need to reach your body fat goals. So you should use a fat loss workout that specifically targets burning calories. (Think of a fast paced bodyweight calisthenics circuit with little rest.) But here is the trick. You fat loss workout shouldn’t interfere with your fitness or physique building goals. As a matter of fact, they should improve both fitness and keep valuable muscle while targeting fat elimination. But there is more… Workouts Without Weights For Strength And Size Of course, to end up with the athletic body (not a bodybuilder body), most exercisers want, you need to pack on some lean muscle. After all, to look the way you want takes more than just losing pounds of fat. You also need to build attractive muscle! Therefore, you should target muscle growth. But again, you want to do this in a way that does not sabotage your fat loss and fitness improving efforts. Wouldn’t it be great if changing ONE thing resulted in the body you want? But the truth is, there are many things you meed to do to build the strong, lean, athletic body you dream of. You can’t just train for fitness. You can’t just train for fat loss, or building muscle. So, you need multiple bodyweight workouts to reach your ultimate goal. Exercisers who succeed in reaching their fitness, fat loss and physique building goals know they need to use multiple types of workouts to build their best body. So, focus on different types of workouts at different times while staying on track to meet your overall goals, and you too will succeed. If you want to look and perform like a Modern Day Gladiator Now is your chance. Coach Eddie Lomax knows training for high-performance is the real way to get the lean, muscular body you want. He combines bodyweight calisthenics and dumbbells into a workout system that would make an Ancient Warrior proud in:Workout Without Weights. |
